Modification of existing rule with object of re-engagement for 5 years only. Subject to the approval of the Superintendent of Police and of the Police Surgeon, a constable with Government service can re-engage for a further term of 5 years, and similarly at the end of 10 years' service.
At the expiration of each term of years' service he becomes entitled to a return passage. He can apply through the Captain Superintendent of Police for permission to return to the service within a period not exceeding nine months.
